Attracting more than 140,000 attendees, the Mapei Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race is Australia's premier cycling event. Drawing inspiration from the prestigious classics in Europe, and as the country's first race of its kind, it has quickly gained acclaim both locally and internationally for its unique competitive and spectator experience.
Held over five days, this festival kicks off on Wednesday 28 January with the Women's Surf Coast Classic point-to-point race, followed by the Men's Surf Coast Classic on 29 January. Elite racing continues on Saturday and Sunday with the UCI WorldTour Women's and Men's Road Races, held on 31 January and 1 February respectively.
Throughout the weekend, everyone is welcome to join in the cycling fun, with the GeelongPort Family Ride (Friday 30 January) and the TAC People's Ride (Saturday 31 January) taking place on the very same roads as the Pro's.
