What makes a great piano trio? Is it celebrity? Is it longevity? Or is it serendipity? Three magnificent musicians, brought together at the right time and the right place?

Aura Go, Australian pianist, storyteller and FutureMaker, has worked with Finnish/Australian cellist Timo-Veikko (Tipi) Valve for many years, performing nationally and internationally as a duo. She's also toured extensively with virtuoso Australian violinist Kristian Winther.

Now Musica Viva Australia presents Aura Go, Timo-Veikko Valve and Kristian Winther in the piano trio for which everyone has been waiting for.

Beethoven's Piano Trio in D, the 'Ghost', and Ravel's stormy Piano Trio form the dramatic core of Aura, Kristian and Tipi's first national tour together.

Alongside these two giants of the repertoire they bring a glowing miniature from Lili Boulanger, written in the shadow of the First World War, and a world premiere from Australian composer Melody Eötvös, commissioned by Musica Viva Australia and written for this exciting new ensemble of local heros.
