Catalina Club Gift Shop, NSW

Catalina Club is nestled on the banks of the spectacular yachting estuary of Bateman's Bay, the gateway to the Sapphire Coast and Shoalhaven. Established in 1920, the club offers a premier 27-hole championship golf course and is a Top 100 Public Access Course, famed for its parkland views and resident wildlife . Professionals and amateurs are welcome to attend the tournaments and players, members and guests can relax amongst the large sun terrace, bars, cafes and restaurant that features weekly live entertainment in the air-conditioned clubhouse. There is a child's play area with supervision over the weekends.

The newly refurbished clubhouse, restaurant and course are open seven days a week. A courtesy bus is also offered for pick-up and drop-off.

The nearest domestic airport is Moruya within 20 minutes of the club and with Canberra International airport just 90 minutes away.

Unique to the South Coast of NSW, Catalina Club is pleased to launch its new gifting shop, situated in the clubhouse foyer.

This is where 1920 heritage meets modern craft. The Catalina Collection is rooted in heritage, evokes craftsmanship, and is a curated evolution of the club’s legacy and a curation of Catalina’s century-long story, where every product is a reflects its heritage.

The Gift Shop stocks an exclusive range of scented candles, wines and golf gifts, including branded golf balls and apparel, perfect for gifting or as a memento of the Far South Coast.

Room fragrances : Stories and scents from 1920 to the modern day

Unique to Catalina Club, a historical scent journey carefully crafted in partnership with a local perfumier to recreate moments in time. The team visited the scent studio,  bringing with them foliage from the course and historical reference points to help shape the creative direction. Each fragrance is directly tied to the aromas of the Bay estuary and paired with a true story unique to Catalina Club.

1920:  Our hero scent. Based on the fauna of the original course. One of the two scents considered more Masculine and Earthy. A great all-purpose gift celebrating the age of the club. Scents of Lemon Myrtle, Geraldton Waxflower, Lemon-scented Tea Tree and grasses.

1931:  Our golfer scent. Based on the aroma of Charles ‘Chas’ Grey’s workshop where he made clubs for himself and other members in the 1930s.  Charles won the 1^st NSW Open in 1931. His workshop on the northern reaches of the bay estuary was where he fashioned from hickory and local woods, with real leather handles, some of the golf clubs that remain in Catalina’s historical archives. Masculine and Leather/Woody.

1992: Our estuary scent. Based on the aroma of shifting head winds, this scent reflects the changing role of lady golfers at Catalina and how the club was one of the first to recognise the need for modernization by allowing lady golfers to be known as members and not ‘associates’, which was the global norm at the time. Feminine and Fresh.

2020: Our modern scent. The scent of modern Catalina at her most abundant. Aromas of warm summer evenings on the terrace overlooking the course and the clubs’ international destination spirit. The sophisticated spirit of this scent is based on oakmoss, lychen and whale ambergris, with a nod to the land and the sea of Batemans Bay. Feminine and Warm.

Each candle is handmade and hand boxed locally by a family-owned printing firm.

Wine collection : From the Greens to the Cellar — Catalina’s Curated Collection

Catalina Club is increasingly becoming a wine destination in the Eurobodalla, with its extensive cellar, seasonal wine events and degusation. In spring 2025, the wine cellar collection expanded again and now we are able to offer incredible wines by the bottle and the case. The collections will change over the months and seasons. To launch our new collection, we have an exclusive stock of Limited Release Robert Oatley premium reds and a selection of whites and rosé. All ready to gift in Catalina wine boxes. Catalina is also proud to offer signature gins and vodkas from Foxdog Distillery.
