Game, Set, Match: All the Action at Highlands Tennis

All the ace fun happening at Highlands Tennis over the season.

SHARE

It’s tennis season peeps and we’re ready to spend the summer getting our bodies movin’ and having a ton of fun in the process.

Highlands Tennis has loads of activities set up to help us channel our inner Federer whilst having a ball [hehe get it ].

They’re serving up something for everyone from summer camps for the kiddos and quirky new racquet sports for the grown-ups to try.

We’ve rounded up all the different types of fun you can have this summer at Highlands Tennis for you to take a look at.

It’s set to be volley-good.

Summer Camps

Tennis is super popular with the kiddos right now and for good reason. It helps them improve their motor skills, flexibility, agility and balance whilst getting them moving and making new friends.

Highlands Tennis holds camps for 5–12 year-olds and caters to all types of skill levels. There’ll be two weeks of camps in December as well as a few in January.  Kids will have a blast learning from top-notch tennis coaches and getting involved in heaps of other fun activities to keep them moving. They’ll also get involved in Olympic-themed games, carnivals, tribes and colour wars meaning they’ll get a chance to build friendships and learn about sportsmanship and respect.

Tennis Journeys

If you’ve got some mini-Ash Barty and Alex de Minaur fans then they’ll be stoked to start their tennis journeys with Highlands Tennis. With sessions from pre-schoolers all the way up to teens, they’re able to cater to all ages and skill levels.

Our friends at Highlands Tennis have plenty of experience training learners and they have a clear structure of the journey your little ones will take, giving them goals to work towards and milestones to celebrate. They really understand the importance of game-based coaching and if you’re curious to find out why it has so many benefits, check out this article here.

Adult fun

If you’ve always wanted to have a go at learning tennis or work a little bit harder on your backhand then sign yourself up for some private lessons with Highlands Tennis. The coaches are passionate, qualified and experienced, so you know you’re in good form.

If you’re up for a social scene, consider booking a spot in a social comp. It’s a great way to hit the court, mingle with new locals, and stay active. And what better time to kick it off than in the sunny and fabulous summer ahead?

And to bring things up a notch even more, give cardio tennis a go. A super cool and unique program that’s all about having fun, getting flexible and working your body, all to pumpin’ tunes. This one’s suitable for all ages and will make you smile and sweat for sure.

Pop Tennis

If you’ve never played pop tennis before then we totes recommend giving it a go. It’s similar to regular tennis but the court is a little smaller, the ball is a little slower, and the racquet is a little shorter, but when you add it all together, you’ve got a massive amount of fun.
It’s a good sport for beginners of all ages or for anyone looking to switch up their regular routine. It’s all gravy if you’ve never played before, the coaches are there to help you pop off and keep you going.

Pickleball

Ok, we’ve probably saved the quirkiest to last but it’s actually one of the fastest growing sports around. It’s considered addictive and popular and is a mix of tennis, badminton and ping pong. It’s fairly easy to learn and is softer on the body compared to regular tennis so is good for all abilities.

How about making this summer a time to try something new and give pickleball a lob?

It’s game, set and match this summer at Highlands Tennis, so catch you on the court!
