Whether you’re after fresh produce at the Riverina Producers’ Market or cool artisan crafts at the River & Wren Boutique Markets our region has it all. 

Here’s a handy-dandy guide to the best spots to hit up in Wagga Wagga and nearby areas. 

Markets In Wagga Wagga 

River & Wren Boutique Markets

This market is where local creators, artisans, and producers from the Riverina and beyond come together to show off their handmade, homemade, and homegrown goodies.

Featuring about 100 different traders, food trucks, kids’ activities, and a community barbecue, it’s a lively hangout that’s great for families and pets too.

  • On a Sunday- 6 times a year
  • 10 am – 3 pm

Markets By The Lake 

Right on the shores of Lake Albert, you can’t get much more ‘by the lake’ than this market.

Pick up arts, crafts, plenty of local produce, toys, candles and more. There’s also usually a coffee van onsite to keep you fuelled as you shop and food stalls serving tasty bites like warm soup in the winter and a BBQ in the summer.

  • Last Saturday of the month
  • 9 am – 1 pm 
  • Apex Park, Eastlake Drive, Lake Albert

Riverina Producers’ Market

This one is all about local food lovers connecting with the folks who make the good stuff. 

Stalls are packed with everything from fresh and ready-to-eat foods to kitchen goodies to take home for later. Think meats, fruits, veggies, cheeses, breads, honey, jams, berries, pickles, sweets, chocolates, and a whole lot more. 

It’s an indoor market too, making it a go all year round.

  • Every Thursday
  • 1 pm – 6:30 pm 
  • Hammond Hall, Wagga Wagga Showgrounds

Wollundry Saturday Markets

With over 30 stalls, selling hot food to fresh produce and homewares, there is loads to check out. Can’t resist the classic egg and bacon rolls and hot cuppas available. 

Make sure to bring your gold coin donation so that the Rotary Club, who run this market, can keep the good times going. 

  • 2nd Saturday of every month
  • 9 am – 1 pm
  • Outside Wagga Civic Centre

Demonstration Gardens – Vegetable Swap and Buy

Bring your own homegrown fruit and veggies to this weekly market and veggie swap. Or if you’re not a green thumb you can purchase fresh vegetables from the community garden at this market instead. 

  • Every Saturday [weather permitting]
  • 8.30 am – 11.30 am
  • Demonstration Gardens, Corner Shaw Street and Albury Street

Nanny Q Community Market

This one’s for anyone into recycled clothes and finding a good deal. From earrings and handbags to scarves, clothes, belts, and more. 

  • Various Saturdays throughout the year
  • 10 am – 3 pm 
  • North Wagga Hall, Hampden Avenue

Markets At The Gardens

Also known as the riverside markets. Alongside stalls selling homewares, handmade arts and crafts and fashion accessories you’ll find hot coffee, fresh produce and healthy homemade dishes like BBQ and fresh Asian meals. 

  • 3rd Sunday of the month
  • 11am to 3pm
  • Riverside Precinct, Wagga Beach, 2 Johnston St [but it will be making the move to Victory Memorial Gardens later in the year]

Markets near Coolamon + Junee

Junee Rotary Markets

Pick up pickled goods, wine, olives, cheese, flowers, bread, pastries, green groceries, organic beef and condiments.

There’s a fab selection of treasure-filled stalls where you might just find a bargain. Kiddos love the painting and live music, make sure to bring some cash for the raffle. 

  • 1st Sunday of the month [excluding January and February]
  • 8 am – 12:30 pm 
  • Junee Ex-Services Club Car Park

The Country Makers Markets  

The country markets make their way around the area stopping in at the town of Marrar near Coolamon seasonally. 

Shop everything handmade and hand grown and make sure to bring your picnic blanket so you can make a full day of it. 

  • Saturdays, four times a year
  • 9 am – 1 pm 
  • Marrar “rest stop” in York Street

Ardlethan Lions Markets In The Park 

These occasional markets are held throughout the year at the local Lion’s Park. Find craft stalls, food, drinks and live music. Keep an eye out for the next date later in the year. 

  • Irregular Saturdays throughout the year
  • 9 am – 2:30 pm

Ganmain Twilight Christmas Markets

An annual market held at Christmas time perfect for shopping all the pressies. Filled with all sorts of beautiful artisan and handmade goods plus beers, wine and edible treats. 

  • Annually in December
  • 5 pm – 9 pm 
  • Ford Street Ganmain

Oura Church Boutique Markets

Local makers and creators selling all manner of beautiful things. Framed art and photography, handmade toys and jewellery, kitchenware, preserves, beauty products and much more. 

Gold coin donation and lucky door prizes too!

  • Every three months on a Saturday
  • 9:30 am – 1:30 pm

Village Markets Tarcutta

A  range of community-led stalls with homegrown goodies, plants, homewares, jewellery, pre-loved items, books, and more.

A BBQ is always going for a classic sausage sanga, plus other treats and drinks.

  • Third Saturday of the month
  • 8 am – 1 pm 
  • Tarcutta Soldiers Memorial Hall

Gundagai Producers Market 

Run by the Gundagai Visitor Information Centre this market highlights and celebrates the talents and offerings of local and regional artisans and suppliers. 

Find everything from bakery bites to locally grown produce, arts, crafts and preserves. 

There’s often live music, hot food stalls and face painting as well. 

  • Twice yearly on a Saturday
  • 9 am – 2 pm 
  • Carberry Park, Gundagai 

Spirit Of The Land Markets

As part of the annual Spirit of the Land festival in Lockhart showcasing not only local makers but makers and producers from all over the state. 

The main street of Lockhart comes alive with wonderful wares and the whole festival is a must-visit.

  • Annually over the weekend of the festival 
  • 9 am – 8 pm on the Saturday and 9 am – 2 pm on the Sunday

Mangoplah Christmas Markets

A merry annual market put on by the Mangoplah Hall committee. The whole town gets behind this one, even the local pub. Perfect for shopping unique and local at Christmas time.
