With holiday vibes still in the air, it is the perfect time to lock in a trip and save a bit while you are at it.

To make things easy, we have put together 10 Queensland escapes that just need a packed bag, a full tank, and a few days or more to enjoy.

1. Rumba Beach Resort

Family friendly, situated basically right on Bulcock Beach in Caloundra and offering fully-equipped rooms with balconies and spas… what more could we ask for?

Plus pools, onsite restaurant, bar AND complementary muffins for brekkie, yay!

Make the most of your Sunshine Coast visit by checking out our homepage for lots of fun ideas. https://thefold.com.au/qld/sunshine-coast-region/

2. Discovery Parks – Townsville

Gosh, we love exploring Townsville. Take a trip to the Great Barrier Reef, pop over to Magnetic Island for the day, or just stroll along The Strand, taking in all those views.

And when we’re in town, we like to stay at Discovery Parks – Townsville because it’s got everything the whole gang could need. From their pool and waterpark, full kitchens in the rooms and AC that works exceptionally well (IYKYK).

Take a look at our Townsville homepage for tips on how to enjoy your stay even more.

3. Cairns Harbourside Hotel

The Cairns Harbourside Hotel sits right on The Esplanade in Cairns, putting you front and centre in all the action.

Every room has a balcony, with some facing the water and others looking towards the mountains. Both views are pretty gorge if you ask us.

There’s also a pool, plus a popular restaurant right at the hotel entrance.

4. Peninsula Airlie Beach

’Bout as close as you can be to the beach without actually staying in the water.

There are 2, 3 and 4-bedroom apartments available, so the whole crew can come along. Every apartment has its own balcony, which means outdoor views no matter where you book.

There’s also a tour desk on site where you can book trips out to the Whitsundays and Whitehaven Beach.

The location is also worth mentioning. It’s close enough to downtown Airlie, but just far enough away to give it a calmer feel.

5. Surfers Chalet

Sometimes a trip to the Gold Coast, and in particular Surfers Paradise, is exactly what’s needed to soak up the action and excitement.

But with all that liveliness, it’s nice to stay somewhere that feels like home, and Surfers Chalet might just do the trick.

Smaller rooms come with kitchenettes, while the apartments have a full kitchen. There’s also a wellness centre, spa, pool and sauna. The beach is basically at the end of the street, and the famous Cavill Ave is only a 15-minute walk away.

6. Discovery Parks – Fraser Street, Hervey Bay

The kiddos will NOT be complaining about being bored at Discovery Parks – Fraser Street in Hervey Bay. There’s so much fun to be had here, from an activity room and a tennis court, to swimming pools, a playground with a jumping pillow, and a BBQ area.

The grown-ups are guaranteed a good time too. Relax on the beach, check out the local gardens, or kick back on your cabin verandah and soak in the serenity.

7. Seaspray Yeppoon

It’s really good and very on brand. Just a couple of small flow tweaks and one tiny wording change to keep it smooth and natural. Here’s a refined version that still feels casual and millennial, with no em dashes:

Seaspray Yeppoon is the spot for beachfront relaxing, with direct beach access, a garden, and a roomy terrace to unwind on.

The ocean vibes continue inside, too, with cutesy nautical details and touches of blue and white. Lush.

Yeppoon itself is a laid-back coastal escape with a busy foreshore and an easy base for island trips, rainforest day adventures, and access to the Great Barrier Reef.

Photo: Mandalay Port Douglas Accommodation

8. Mandalay Luxury Beachfront Apartments

A five-star beachfront stay in Port Douglas that is close to the marina, restaurants and Macrossan Street, but still feels calm and relaxed, yes please!

The apartments are generous and fully self-contained, with kitchens, laundry facilities, and plenty of space to spread out. There’s a tropical pool, beautiful gardens, and even a tennis court if you’re feeling active.

Photo: Senses Noosa North Shore

9. Senses Noosa North Shore

It ain’t no secret, Noosa is a divine holiday destination. But a stay at Senses Noosa North Shore… well, that’s beyond divine, baby!

These luxury houses all come with their own large entertaining areas, fully equipped kitchen and BBQ facilities.

We don’t reckon a place as gorgeous as this goes on sale very often, so make the most of it, peeps, while you can!

Photo: Songbirds

10. Songbirds Rainforest Retreat

Rest your head right in the middle of the rainforest at Songbirds Rainforest Retreat in Tamborine Mountain. It does not get much more nature-filled than that.

It’s peaceful and tucked away, with a much-loved onsite restaurant serving seasonal, locally made meals. The rooms feel like a proper retreat from it all, but it is only just over an hour from the Gold Coast and Brisbane, making it an easy weekend getaway.

Okay, so if one (or more) of these awesome destinations has your name on it, now’s a good time to book it in.

Remember, Booking.com’s Early 2026 Deals are offering at least 15% off stays until April 1, so don’t miss out!
