Your Guide To Networking Groups In The Southern Highlands

Networking in the Highlands is a great way to build genuine connections with locals, share ideas, and discover opportunities to grow, both in your business and in your personal life.​

And it’s fab for all kinds of people

So,…small business owners, freelancers, or anyone just keen to meet like-minded locals.

​Networking helps you stay in the loop, learn from others, and feel more connected to the community around you.​

Here’s a handy list of local networking groups in the Southern Highlands to help get you started.

The Office Bowral

​Not only is it an awesome co-working space with big desks, private meeting rooms, a podcast booth, a balcony, breakout areas, and an on-site café, but it’s also a great place to meet other business owners who are taking advantage of all the goodness.

​And as a bonus, The Office Bowral hosts Small Business Breakfast Networking events every few months where you can chat, connect, and dine on a nommy morning feast.

Business Southern Highlands

Business Southern Highlands champions the region’s business community, giving local companies a strong, unified voice and helping them make their mark.

They focus on supporting the viability of local ventures, showcasing the Highlands’ unique and diverse business landscape, and building meaningful connections between businesses and the wider community. The result is growth that’s economic, collaborative, and distinctly local.

One highlight of the Chamber’s calendar is the “Six Degrees of Separation” networking event, held monthly. It’s a relaxed space for members to discuss business, make connections, and invite potential new members into the fold.

Business Women’s Network Southern Highlands

The Business Women’s Network Southern Highlands brings local women in business together to connect, learn, and share ideas.

They have created a special space for women to grow their businesses, build confidence and support each other along the way.

They host monthly brekkies with guest speakers and plenty of chat. Members also get the chance to do quick “cameo” talks to share what they do.

GROW – Southern Highlands NSW Association Inc.

GROW Southern Highlands has been helping local businesses connect for aaaaages.

They focus on bringing hospitality, creative, farming, and professional businesses together across the Highlands.

At their events, members get to meet, swap ideas, and learn from each other. It’s a simple way to build connections, find support, and be part of a community of people who are growing their businesses together.

The Highland Woman 

The Highland Woman blends connection, creativity, and community with inspiring gatherings at the beautiful Fitzroy Inn, thoughtful workshops, wellbeing experiences and plenty of soul-filling conversation.
It’s part club, part creative hub, part genuine sisterhood, designed to help local women grow, thrive and feel supported. 
Simply put? It’s where Highlands women connect, flourish, and feel at home.

The Country Women’s Association

The Country Women’s Associations play such a special role in our community. They’re a place to meet, learn new skills, share ideas, and get involved in projects. From cooking and crafts to fundraising and local events, CWAs help women get together, support each other, and make a real difference in the Highlands.

Their local branch meets on the first Thursday of every month, 6.30 to 8.30 pm, at the CWA Rooms in Winifred West Park on Main Street, Mittagong.

Southern Highlands VIEW Club

VIEW is a network of women supporting The Smith Family and children facing disadvantage.

Members fundraise, volunteer, sponsor students, and advocate for educational equality.

By getting involved in events, volunteering, and spreading the word, VIEW women make a real difference, helping kids do well at school, shape brighter futures, and make great friends along the way.

The Southern Highlands club is always open to new members and meets monthly at Mittagong RSL Club.

The Southern Highlands Older Women’s Network 

The Southern Highlands Older Women’s Network (SHOWN) focuses on giving women over 55 a voice and a place to belong.

They talk openly about the real issues older women face, things like housing, isolation, and financial pressure, while offering support, friendship, and fun through regular meetups, walks, book clubs, and creative catch-ups.

Adventurous Women Who Walk

This friendly group of women makes it easy to meet new people while enjoying the great outdoors.

Run by volunteers, it’s all about connection, conversation, and a shared love of adventure.

Walks range from bush trails and coastal strolls to river crossings and cave explorations, with options for every fitness level.

Growth Walk with KJ Growth

KJ Growth is run by local Katherine, a business coach who helps service-based entrepreneurs grow without the stress.

Katherine hosts Growth Walks for small business owners to move, chat, and network. Keep an eye on her socials for the next one.

Social Sit & Stitch at Castle Handmade

We love this as a fun, unique way to meet locals, network, and get crafty.

Head to Castle Handmade for a casual crafting session. Just bring a project and enjoy chatting and crafting with like-minded makers. Morning tea is included, and tickets can be purchased on their website.
